Best Things to Do in Hua Hin Thailand

During my two months living in Hua Hin, I spent most of my time living the digital nomad lifestyle of working from home and enjoying activities on the weekends. If you are just visiting for a vacation then you might have a different idea of the best things to do in Hua Hin. Keep in mind these are just my personal opinions.

My Favorite Things to do in Hua Hin

1. Visit the Beach

When it comes to Hua Hin, the main Hua Hin Beach is obviously an absolute must-visit. Stretching along the warm coastal waters of the Gulf of Thailand, this sandy paradise offers endless opportunities for relaxation and fun in the sun. I was genuinely surprised at how nice Hua Hin beach really is, considering many beaches in Thailand are sadly very polluted. But that is not the case for Hua Hin beach. Sink your toes into the soft sand as you bask in the warm tropical breeze, or take a refreshing dip in the bath tub warm waters.

For the adventurous souls, try your hand at exciting water sports like jet skiing, kitesurfing , or paddleboarding. Kitesurfing is clearly one of the most popular activities in Hua Hin. On any given day, you’ll see hundreds of people kitesurfing. It’s absolutely beautiful to watch, even if you aren’t planning to partake.

As the sun sets, indulge in a leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoying the captivating views and vibrant colors painting the sky. Unfortunately the sun doesn’t set directly on the beach but behind it. It is still a beautiful place to be though. Whether you’re seeking tranquility or adventure, visiting the beach should definitely be your first thing to do in Hua Hin.

The most popular night markets in Hua Hin are Cicada Market and Tamarind Market. These are located right next to each other and have fantastic food and shopping.
